Hi all I am finding it difficult booking a train from Berlin Hauptbahnhof to Prague. Nothing is coming up. Am I doing something wrong? I am looking to go tomorrow morning around 9am. I see the journey is about 4.5 hours. Any help appreciated thanks!

Are you now travelling with an InterRail ticket?

Where did you try to book a ticket?

Yes I have a 5 in 10 day pass so I would assume no booking is needed only if I want to reserve a seat? I am using the rail planner app aswell and can't find the route.

Well...I hope you bought your ticket through our partner, thank you.
If you want, you can reserve a seat which costs 4,50€ per seat and can be done at a train station in Berlin. There is a train leaving Berlin Hbf (central station) at 0846, other trains run every two hours. Take a seat on the left hand side for best views.
I do not use the RailPlanner App...trains are running though as I wrote above.

Great, yes we bought both tickets through railcc :) Would you recommend reserving seats? We didn't reserve any from Amsterdam to Berlin and we were fine. Also do you know how we find out what platform the train goes or do you recommend we just arrive a bit earlier to find the platform in good time?

OK great, so you could contact Peter with your order ID (AA....) to get upgraded to Premium user.

Personally I never reserve seats on trains without compulsory reservation.
I have been travelling on that train from Dresden to Wien on a monday last september and it was quite full although it was no problem to find free seats - enter the train in the front just behind the loco, usually most people stand around the center close to the stairs so in the front it will be less crowded. The train leaves from platform 1, this is one of the lower level platforms at Berlin Hbf.

Great thanks everyone. We're ready to board the train to Prague 8.46am! We may be back with more questions throughout our journey through Europe :)
