Hi everyone.
I'm new here and me and some friends are going in interrail this summer for the first time.
Now, my question and I hope you could help me, regards to the night train from Berlim to Amsterdam. I saw the connections in this site and there was the one I chose: 00h10-10h22. How to make the reservation having the interrail pass? Because I went to train company site and it is very expensive. I know that having this pass is cheaper, but there is no interrail option and the reservation is compulsory... xo

With the reservation it is important just to search for the direct connection Berlin - Amsterdam Central. Then choose the direct train (which should be the EN 444). On the page where you can choose your kind of place there is a small line at the bottom which says Nur Aufpreis buchen. Click here and you can decide for Passangebot (InterRail, Eurail, anderes Passangebot). Price for all the reservations willl be reduced then.
Have an nice trip and enjoy Amsterdam! Hard to decide which of the two places is the better one, both are great!

DAYtime you can go ev. 2 hrs, with NO need to REServe (you can, if you want) and much shorter in time. With dozens of likeminded young people. There may even be me on the train in NL.
That CNL is in fact meant for people going Praha-Warszawa to DE/west )Ruhrgebiet and then NL-AMS. It only has 2 sitting cars together, 1 from each, and these are old/style ex DDR style with 6 people in a coupe without much chance to lie down.

How to get the reservation for the CNL is described here (bottom page), it works just as mesmerized already explained: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/prague-amsterdam-cnl456/14
The direct train from Amsterdam to Paris is the Thalys and a reservation costs 39€! I would rather take other trains to get to Paris which takes quite a bit longer but is much less expensive. Thalys reservations for passholders are only available at ticket counters in the Netherlands, Belgium and France or via +33892353536. Consider that at NS Hispeed ticket counters in the Netherlands there are extra booking fees.
