We are two girls age 22 & 23 wanting to go inter railing this June, for just over two weeks between the dates of 12th June and 1st July
We are from Belfast and can either fly from there or Dublin
We would like to go:
- South of France preferably Biarritz
- Italy - perhaps Milan / Venice
- & Croatia - Hvar

This is our first time inter railing and we could really do with some help of where is best to go / stay / what trains to get!
We can fly into Biarritz from Dublin and stay there a few days but don't know where else to go to in France as an in-between point before heading to Milan / Venice in Italy!
I find it very confusing to understand what is included in the inter rail price and which trains you need to pay extra for!
THANKS :)

Hi!

If you just want to travel for about two weeks and also include a probably longer stay at the beach in Hvar, I would recommend to just get the 5in10 InterRail Pass. With that, you could do a trip like this:
Biarritz - somewhere in France - Milan - Venice - Ljubljana/Zagreb - Split and take a ferry from there to Hvar. You would have to travel from Biarritz to Split within the 10 day validity period of the IR ticket leaving you with enought time at both places to spend a few days at the beach.
In France, I would recommend to stop somewhere between Marseille and Nice in order to be able to get there and continue to Italy with just one travel day each.

Basic information including a list of trains which require a reservation: https://rail.cc/en/first-time-interrail

If you have questions, just ask. Please support us by purchasing your IR tickets through [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - thank you! :)
