Hello,
I am planing a long vacation, and I really appreciate feed back on how to do it. I would like to Fly to Istanbul then take the train to Brussels to take my flight to Florida.
I have few question to ask,
First cost wise, to do this round trip because i have to get round trip from UAE to Turkey and another round trip from Brussels to Florida. so what would be the cost for train round trip from Istanbul to Brussels.
How many Train Co. I have to look for I know there is Thalys and Eurostar and they are not in Eastern Europe or Turkey.
So what would be the ideal trip to do overnight train between major cities!! then some sight seeing in the morning??
Any issue with American Passport for passing through?
Regards.

Hi Nibras!
How long do you want to travel between Istanbul and Bruxelles? How many cities would you like to visit? These are important questions regarding overall costs of tickets.
From Istanbul, there are two main routes towards eastern Europe:
1) via Sofia to Beograd from where you could could continue either via Zagreb - Ljubljana - München or via Budapest - Wien - München
2) via Bucuresti to Budapest

You dont have to look for train companies - in each country the State Railways operate the majority of trains; Thalys and Eurostar are among the few exceptions but you very likely wont need any of them.
There is a number of overnight trains available: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train
As far as I know you would only need a visa to get into Turkey, for the remainder of the trip a US passport should be sufficient.
