Hi,
I was hoping somebody with a little more experience would be able to help me. My friends and I are planning on buying 10 in 22 days Interrail passes. We're starting in Rome and hoping to go up to Scandinavia. What would the best way to go about it? (Also, is it too far a distance in the time we have?). we don't mind not spending much time in Italy as we've all travelled around there before.
Thanks for the help!

Hi!
Why would you start in Italy if you dont want to stay there? How would you get to Rome? How would you like to get back to the UK from Scandinavia?
In general it wont be problem to get up there from Rome and still see some nice places in Scandinavia...do you have any particular places in mind where you want to go?
Starting from Rome, you could head for Switzerland and include this scenic route: https://rail.cc/blog/zurich-milano-albula-bernina/
Then you could take a night train across Germany either to Hamburg or straight to Copenhagen and start your trip through Scandinavia from there. Depending on the exact route this would require at least three travel days leaving you with seven travel days for Scandinavia.
I would definitely recommend to go to Stockholm; if you want to see some nature you might include these trips:

Also, the ferry trip from Stockholm to Turku would be really nice, from there you can continue to Helsinki, then up north and by bus back to Sweden:

As soon as you have a rough idea of what to see and where to go we could help with planning a route in detail.
