I have checked SBB's website, they only list swiss pass and Eurail pass in their price list.
I am considering buying a 1st calss InterRail pass, but not sure whether it works for this express.
I know there might be some surcharges, but it is strange that sbb's website didn't list it.

also, if it applies, where should I pay the surchages, or is this surcharges are the same as seats reservation?

Thanks

Hi!

For InterRail the same fares as for the Swiss Pass and Eurail apply: 49 CHF in summer, 39 CHF in winter.
You would have to get the reservation for the whole trip (which would include the surcharge) at a Swiss station.

I got it! Thank you for the fast reply.

also, I suppose, it also works on EuroStar Italy, right? (Now they seem changed the name to something else?)

You're welcome. :)

Yeah, all trains operated by Trenitlia are included in the pass. EuroStar Italy brand has been discontinued for a while now, the high speed trains in Italy are now called Le Frecce (each with 10€ compulsory reservation):
Frecciabianca: 200 km/h, operating on the conventional network
Frecciargento: 250 km/h, tilting train operating on both the conventional and the high speed network
Frecciarossa: 300 km/h, operating almost exclusively on the high speed network.

To support the free information and the forum on railcc, please be fair and buy your official Interrail pass via our railcc partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you! :)

That WT-expr only has 1st cl carriages.
You can do exactly the very same route-with thus the same sights, in normal trains without any pay-extra. But of course also without the luxuries.

You would still have to pay extra for the ship across Lake Lucerne... in fact, Wilhelm Tell Express is not a single train but the marketing name for the combined boat+train trip on regular boat and train connections.
