In September, my girlfriend and I are going on a train-citytrip to Spain and Portugal. I was thinking of staying a couple of days in Barcelona, then taking a train to Madrid, also for a few days. Then hop on the nighttrain from Madrid to Lisbon.
When I was checking some prices on the online shop from railcc, I saw that a ticket Barcelona-Madrid can cost up to 120 euros.
Is there a cheaper way to buy those tickets? Or a cheaper option, such as Interrail passes, Renfe passes?

Hi.
If you add some more stops, a 5 in 10 Interrail pass would be a nice solution. Especially as you can buy an Interrail PROMO pass (reduced price) in September: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-global-pass
The you pay per person EUR 156 for the 5 in 10.
Plus of course the reservation fee for the AVE high-speed-train: https://rail.cc/en-type-country/alta-velocidad-espa%C3%B1ola/renfe-ave/23
And the night train to Lisbon: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/madrid-lisbon-th-332/71
