What happens if I want to travel to or from a country that is not included in the EURail global pass.

For instance, I plan to go from Croatia to Romania, the best and shortest way would be through Serbia (not included), so I'd take the route Zagreb - Belgrade. How much would this be, and how do they charge me or how could I pay for it, without them charging me more than what I should really pay for since Croatia is included on my pass. Same thing going Belgrade - Bucarest.

Hi!

In that case you would get a ticket from the border to Belgrade/Belgrade to the border; you can get that ticket locally at a train station and it wont be expensive, calculate with maybe 10/15€.

Alright Thanks!

I have another question, I dont know if Ic an ask on here.

There's on night train from bucarest to istanbul, its 9.40 Euro with the EURail. I was thinking about stopping at Veliko Tarnovo, in Bulgaria. Would I still need to pay th 9,40 the first day and then again on the second one?

Thanks!

Hej Luis,

well, if you want to use the couchette car you would need to pay the 9,40€ for the reservation twice. However there should be a coach with regular seats attached from Dimitovgrad to Bucharest which you could use without extra reservations for the second leg from Veliko Tarnovo to Bucharest.
