We plan to go to Rome and Venice, in no particular order, after which we'd love to go to Corfu. I think Bari have a link with the Island, but unfortunately there are no links to Bari from anywhere in Italy.
Are there alternate ways to get to Corfu, or a way to get to Bari?

There are several direct train connections from both Roma and Venezia to Bari, no problem at all.
