Hello,
My friends and I are first time InteRailers and we are trying to plan our journey.
we are planning on going for one month and the route we would like to take is:
Amsterdam---->Berlin
Berlin-------> Prauge
Prauge--------> Vienna
Vienna------> Buddapest

And then from Buddapest we would like to go to Mostar but cant seem to find the best way to do it, we were thinking maybe going though Serbia and stopping in Belgrade for a night or 2 then going over to Moster. Is this possible? If so whats the best route to take?

We were also planning on going from Mostar to Split then down to novaljia for a 4 day festival there and then fly home.

Do you think this is too ambitious? we are planning on staying in each place 2-4 days. How much money would be advised to take?

Hope someone can help me as we are completely clueless!

Thank you!

Hi.
If you want to travel with trains from Budapest to Mostar, do it this way:
Budapest - Zagreb - Sarajevo - Mostar

If you want to include Belgrade and a bus, travel like this:
Budapest - Belgrade - bus to Sarajevo - Mostar

Or a nice option via Montenegro:
the amazing scenic route from Belgrade to Bar by train. Then with buses (inexpensive) along the coast.
Schedules: Podgorica - Dubrovnik - Split
From there to Mostar by bus.

Just some thoughts... :)
All schedules (including the bus connections which are not included in Interrail) here:

The money you spent depends on what type of hostels you stay, how much beer you drink, ...
I recommend hostels which offer a free kitchen - buy food in the supermarket and make your own meal - it will save you a lot of money!

Thank you so much!

I think were going to go with the Belgrade and bus option :)

Do you know if there is a straight bus that runs from Mostar to Novaljia? or would we have to change in Split or somewhere? Iv tried looking online but I cant seem to find anything.

Thanks! xx

Hi.
There are bus connections from Mostar to Zadar - takes about 4-5 hours.
From Zadar you should be able to find a bus or something to Novaljia.
