Hello!

This is my first interrail trip and I'm doing it alone, so I'm looking for any advice or tips from all you experienced travelers!

First question: I'm in Norway, but I would like to book a reservation for my first train journey from Barcelona to Marseille. I have not found a way to do this online, but I have read that you can make a train reservation at any major train station in Europe. Do you think I could do this in Oslo?

My (tentative) Route!:

Barcelona
Marseille (2 days)
Nice (2 days)
Zurich (2 days)
Munich (3 days)
Prague (5 days)
Krakow (3 days)
Berlin (4 days)
Copenhagen (?)

I'm planning on spending 2-5 days in each city. I'll be buying the 10in22 interrail pass from railcc once I get my official start date sorted.

Looking to see if anyone has experience with this route! Any safety issues? The only thing I am still a bit unsure of is how to do the reservations or if those are difficult to get for certain routes.

I am open to any and all suggestions about where to go or any stops I should make.

Thanks!

Hi.

Try it in Oslo if you want to use the direct TGV train on Barcelona to Marseille to continue to Nice:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/barcelona-to-marseille
But you can also use free trains - slower but no reservation required: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/barcelona-to-nice

Nice to Zurich: first travel in direction of Milan via Ventimiglia: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/nice-to-milan
And then this route crossing the Alps: https://rail.cc/blog/zurich-milano-albula-bernina/

Krakow to Berlin is a long trip ( https://rail.cc/en/interrail/krakow-to-berlin ) ... maybe add some additional stops to make it finally shorter:
Munich - (Vienna) - Budapest - night train to Krakow - night train to Prague - Berlin - Hamburg - Copenhagen - Göteborg - Oslo

Peter :)
