Hey everybody
I'm planning a trip this summer to Portugal and I need some info on trains to Lisbon. I have found this Portugese train hotel called Lusitania Comboio that runs nightly from Madrid to Lisbon. Regular price for one-way ticket is 81 EUR for 4-people compartment. Does anyone what is the price for InterRail ticket holders?
Also, are there any other or cheaper ways to get to Lisbon? I heard there are night trains from Paris, as well. Any info on that?
Thanks a bunch in advance!

:arr: TRAIN
1) with the hotel train Lusitania Comboio:
from Madrid to Lisbon it is a supplement of EUR 26 for a bed in a 4-person-compartment.
I am not absolutely sure about the EUR 26 as I didn't come along this route this spring, but I will check it!! :)
2) other possibility from Paris to Lisbon is:
by TGV (EUR 3-15 supplement - depends on the time you travel) from Paris to Irun.
Then by night train from Irun to Lisbon. it is called the Sud-Express (SUREX)
Dep. Irun: 22:00
Arr. Lisboa: 10:54
at high season it is recommended to buy a reservation... or a bed in a couchette. :)
a normal 2nd class seat: free (reservation recommended: EUR 7)
a bed in a couchette (6 bed compartement): EUR 27
your way back:
Dep. Lisbon: 16:06
Arr. Hendaye: 07:10
then by TGV to Paris
Hendaye and Irun are the border stations... on the way back, Hendaye is better. on the way to Lisbon, the night train starts in Irun, not in Hendaye!
reservations available at a big station in France, Spain or Portugal or via [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
:arr: BUS
if you want to travel by bus, have a look on this website... it is about 40 EUR one-way ...

I have a bit of a silly question with regards to the Lisbon - Madrid sleeper train. Do they provide you with linen (a blanket or anything that can be used to cover you), or do you need to bring a sleeping bag for this?

no ... no sleeping bag needed !! :)
it is not silly this question ... !!
it is in all (within Europe) night-trains (when you booked a bed, not a seat) like that, that you get a sheet for free to cover you and a pillow and so on ... you will have warm during the night !! :)
so it will be a comfortable night for you on this train !! have fun,
Peter
