Hi,

I am going interrailing with two of my friends this summer (June-July) for a month, and we have another friend joining us for two weeks. However, while me and two others will be 18, my friend that is joining us for two weeks will still be 17.

With her, we will be going to Amsterdam, Berlin, Krakow and Budapest. I was wondering if anyone had any idea how strict the hostels that only accept over 18s are, and if there is any good hostels that are cheap (under £30/night in Amst) and in a central location for under 18s that you would recommend. The three of us who are 18 had been considering booking into the flying pig downtown in Amsterdam but am aware this will probably no longer be possible as our other friend will be with us.

Also, does anyone know how strict clubs/bars are in these places? As we will be wanting to go out!

Thank you :)

Hi!

I dont have a recommendation for AMS since we always stayed at a campsite while we are there, sorry.
Your friends should bring a letter of consent signed by their parents anyway since hostels accepting under 18-year olds usually require this.
I just recently have been to Budapest with some under 18-years and nobody asked them for an ID...cant tell about the other cities though.
