Hi all,
My girlfriend and I were thinking of doing this route;
Brussels-Amsterdam-Berlin-Prague-Munich-Vienna-Budapest-Zagreb-Pula-Ljubljana-Venice-Milan-Florence-Rome
We will be starting and ending in London, so we are taking the eurostar from London to Brussels and flying from Rome to London at the end.
What does everyone think? We Are planning on doing this with the 15 day continuous ticket and will be spending a night in each place (except Brussels and Venice) And then two nights in Pula and Florence. After planning, our timing in each place seems fine to us as we don't mind travelling on most days.
We are thinking of doing the night train from Ljubljana to Venice as it's a 9 hour journey. Will we need to book the night train nowish or when we are there?
Also are there any other problems with trains we could face or trains that need booking that we should know about in our journey?
We are in the process of booking hostels, so if anyone knows any good/cheap/close to the train station hostels in each of the places then that would be brilliant!
I have checked most threads to check for overlaps and have tried not to include any so I apologise if there are!
Thanks!!

Hi.
There is no night train Ljubljana-Venice.
Border crossing like this: https://rail.cc/blog/travel-lake-bled-train/

Thanks for the feedback Peter,
Oh okay, so would we be able to get this train https://rail.cc/en/train/ljubljana-to-venice overnight? I know it's not a 'night train' as such but will it get us from Ljubljana to Venice overnight and arriving in the morning? (Seems like we may have to sleep in the village for a couple of hours waiting for the train, not a problem).
If this is possible do we need to book it or not? as they are two separate trains.
Also do you think the rest of the trip sounds doable?
Thanks again

With the connection you mention, you will stay three hours in the middle of the night at the railway station at Villach.
I recommend to travel by train and maybe to add an overnight stop at Lake Bled: https://rail.cc/en/bled/c
