You can book DB (German Railways) tickets online at [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
Just enter Berlin and Hamburg and your travel date; for the 29 December there are currently tickets available from 29€, depending on what time of the day you want to travel.

you must pick up your ticket at the station or not?

You can choose:

# Online Ticket: You print the ticket at home and take it with you on the train; for identification a credit card or id card is required.
# Ticket sent to you by post: A paper ticket will be sent to you by post, no identification document needed on the train

Select the connection you want.
Purchase the ticket. You do not have to create an account. As identification use your credit card.
These are online-tickets. Print it out and have it with you in the train. Easy and save. If a conductor comes and want to check your ticket, show the printed online-ticket and as identification your credit card.
