Hello railcc Friends,

What a great resource this is! We are planning a trip for June, 2014. I can see that schedule-wise, we could go from Perpignan to Villefranche-de-Conflent, transfer to Little Yellow Train to Latour-de-Carol, and transfer to RENFE train into Barcelona. How do we book this trip? Do we buy three separate tickets or can it bought as one (or two, if just the French legs)with transfers? I have read that there are no seat reservations available on Little Yellow Train, so if coming in from Perpignan, do we need to leave extra time of up to 2 hours to ensure that we get onto the next yellow train departure? Also, is the transfer in Latour de Carol to the Barcelona train at the same station or is it a separate station? Thank you for any help you can give!

Kelly

Hi Kelly.
The ticket Perpignan via Villefranche to Latour der Carol is available here for about EUR 27: [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf[/ux]
The ticket Latour de Carol to Barcelona is about EUR 10 and available at a ticket machine in Latour de Carol, not online.
It is the same station, avery small one - easy to do. See here: https://rail.cc/en/latour-de-carol/latour-de-carol-enveitg-railway-station/l56
Pre-booking time f ticket is up to max 3 months in advance... so you still have to wait a little bit with your purchase.
And yes, no reservation possible in these trains as these are local trains. I never heard that you won't get a seat ...

Thanks you Peter! And thank you for this fantastic resource. I will definitely buy the tickets through the site when it is time to do so! And start to explore some other options as well!
