Always wanted to travel Scandinavia - how does this route sound?

St Petersburg – Helsinki – Stockholm – Oslo – Copenhagen

In a 2/3 week period. Haven't done a massive amount of research in all honesty so all help greatly appreciated. I know it wouldn't be cheap, but I think it's about time I visited this region!

Cheers.

Hi!

Well, the route is quite simple. You will find recommended schedules for all routes at https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
The question remains whether you go with an IR or regular tickets...as you need a regular ticket for the Allegro train from St Petersburg to Helsinki anyway so only two/three trips by train remain therefore you will be better off with regular tickets.
From Helsinki to Stockholm I would recommend to take the daytime ferry from Turku which is the most scenic route.
You could also expand the route for instance from Oslo to Bergen and back, in which case a 5in10 InterRail ticket might be the better solution.
