I booked CNL 1246 from Munchen Hbf to Berlin Hbf (https://rail.cc/en/night-train/munich-berlin-cnl1246/29). As I look at the schedule, I can see the last stop on the route is Berlin Ost, instead of Berlin Hbf. Both train stations are basically equidistant from my destination. Will I get in trouble if I stay on until Berlin Ost? That seems like it would be an easier place to disembark, as it would be a longer stop and everyone must disembark then (instead of trying to figure out if Berlin Hbf is coming up). I mean, it's not like anyone is going to take my sleeper berth for that one stop. What do y'all think? Thanks in advance for your help!

Edit: Apparently the terminal stop isn't Berlin Ost, it's Berlin Lichtenberg, but since there's ~40 minutes between Ost and Lichtenberg, I'm assuming Ost is the stop most people get off at and has a longer break, so it still applies :)

Hi!

Lichtenberg is the stop for passengers travelling with their cars - the car (un)loading facilities are located there (and in Munich Ost on the other end of the trip).
I dont think you will get in trouble staying onboard until Ostbahnhof, as all Berlin stations in the centre of the town are considered as one single tariff point. Just tell the conductor and you should be fine. :)
