Hi
We are wanting to catch the train from Copenhagen to Rodby then catch a ferry to Puttgarden and then continue our journey to Hamburg.
I have read that the ferry from Rodby to Puttgarden is included in our InterRail pass. I have not been able to find a train that goes from Copenhagen to Rodby but one that goes from Copenhagen to Hamburg vis Rodby.
Q1: Would we select the above train route and then just jump off at Rodby? And would we be able to jump back on at Puttgarden after catching the ferry?
Q2: Is it worth the ferry trip?
Thanks! :D

Hi Jenny!
There are several direct EC and ICE trains from Copenhagen to Hamburg via Rodby - Puttgarden. Between these stations, the train is shipped across Fehmarnbelt by ferry.
The ferry trip is included in the ticket and also the only way to get from Rodby to Puttgarden unless you want to take a bath. ;) The trip lasts about 45min during which you have to leave the train and stay onboard the ferry where you can either just relax on deck or have something to eat, drink,...
