Hi interrailers 8)
A friend and I are going on interrail from mid July to mid August for 30 days. We have so far come up with these routes, starting in Denmark:
1.
Berlin --(over night transport)--> Amsterdam --(over night transport)-->
Brussels --(over night transport)--> Paris --> Zaragoza, Expo 2008 :D
Going home options: Madrid/Barcelona, Rome (with ferri, if possible?), Prague. Spending lesser time at these locations. Maybe it is too far between Rome and Prague? How long could it take to go from Rome to Prague?
We think it is rather hard to make a circled route. It is not very nice to travel far and straight, to have a LONG and boring trip home.
I do not yet know how long it will take from Paris to Zaragoza.
We made the route so that there will be time for stopping at unforeseen places and taking detours, if it comes up - the clear advantage of interrail.
The whole journey should not only be about capitols. How many days we will stay at each location is still uncertain. We will propably decide on the road 8) However, the main trip is Berlin to Zaragoza.

Hi there,
Your overnights are a good idea, although Amsterdam to Brussels is not an overnight; just a couple of hours journey by Thalys. Rome to Prague is a long trip. You could do it by overnight to Wien, arriving in the morning and Prague is then just a few hours away or you could go through the Austrian Alps to Munich and then on to Prague in two long journeys. I hope this is helpful. The planning is always a big part of the enjoyment for me. I like your idea of not just going to Capitols. Have a great one.

Thanks alot for your inputs. They are both great :) Now we have got ideas for the trip home. I'm printing this.
However, do you think we are too ambitious or is it a realistic trip?
