Hi planning my first inter railing trip for this year. But I have question. We're going to go to Scandanavia, focusing on Denmark and Sweden and then other places on the way back to Britain. Not finalised the details yet.

But we aren't go with the flow people so is it possible to book the night train from Koln in advance or do we have to wait to get to the station? If we do have to wait is there any possiblity of not getting tickets i.e. do we need to plan to get there and have a day in Koln to book a ticket and be on the safe side? thanks.

Hi,

If it is the busy summer season sometimes the trains are very busy and so it is best to book your train as soon as you can. Koln is quite a popular place for Interrailers but you can also book your train at many main railway stations: you do not need to be in Koln to do that. I hope this is helpful. Have an excellent trip.
