Hi,

I am going to have about a week to travel somewhere from Brussels. I'd like to plan a journey by train and possibly end up in Prague for a few days.

Are there any recommended routes I could take? The most straightforward is the CNL from Cologne. The other possibility is I break the journey into 2 or 3 parts. I am wondering if there are any particular stand-out places in Germany to see that are worth staying. I could see Dresden but I am not sure what is there (apparently a lot of galleries, which aren't really my thing).

I have also seen that the Black Forest area in Germany is beautiful but would I need to take more time to see that?

Any suggestions for a route between Brussels and Prague welcome! Thank you.

Hi,
You can visit Heidelberg and the Rhine Valley :) get a Connection to Cologne. From
Cologne you can Take regional or High Speed Trains to Koblenz Mainz. If you Want to exit
Somewhere the I Would recommend to Take a regional Train from Koblenz to Mainz, Nice Places to exit:
Boppard, St. Goar, Bacherach. The train runs every hour. Maybe you Look for some pictures on google

If you like to visit Cities, Maybe get Off in Hamburg, Berlin or Munich.
Other Favorite Place are some of the small Islands in the north Sea, the Alps, Füssen and Neuschwanstein Castle.

If you go to Dresden, Maybe spend a Day outside the town: https://rail.cc/en/dresden/c
