Hi,
I've been wanting to go interrailing for at least two years now, I even bought the tickets two years ago before we had to cancel the plans but this time it's definitely going ahead!
My friends and I are flying to Budapest to start off our trip and this is our itinerary:
=31.08=
08:35 Stansted
12:05 Budapest
=01.09=
budapest
=02.09=
22:20 Budapest
=03.09=
06:32 Belgrade
=04.09=
10:30 Belgrade
17:59 Zagreb
=05.09=
12:45 Zagreb
19:06 Split
=06.09=
full day in Split
=07.09=
21:17 Split
=08.09=
06:27 Zagreb
12:30 Zagreb
14:53 Ljubljana
=09.09=
16:00 Ljubljana
21:57 Vienna
=10.09=
full day in Vienna
=11.09=
14:33 Vienna
19:18 Prague
=12.09=
full day in Prague
=13.09=
flight from Prague to Copenhagen
=14.09=
13:50 Copenhagen
16:40 Aarhus
I had a few queries about the trains; I looked up times and prices etc. using this site, DB Bahn and RailEur*pe and it was quite hard to find prices - RailEur*pe gave prices of £40 and above for most of the routes that we've chosen and I was wondering if these are correct prices? If so then the InterRail pass is probably worth getting haha. I'm just a bit unsure because prices aren't listed on here or on DB Bahn.
I couldn't find prices for sleepers/couchettes for the Budapest-Belgrade train and the Split-Zagreb trains either, does anyone have an idea of how much those are?
One final question, the only link between Copenhagen and Aarhus on this site is this one: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/kastrup-frederikshavn-ic-191/368
but on other sites they have trains leaving every 30/45 minutes and I was wondering if the IR pass would be valid on them too?
Thanks in advance, it's starting to feel more like a reality and I'm getting pretty psyched up for the trip :D

Hi.
For train connections have a look here: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
If a connection is not available, check this: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
Night trains here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train
Budapest to Belgrade by night train: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/budapest-belgrade-g-341/207
Buy the reservation (see prices by following the link) at a railway station.
Split to Zagreb by night train: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/split-to-zagreb
Like above, buy the reservation at a station.
Copenhagen to Aarhus: https://rail.cc/en/train/copenhagen-to-aarhus
And for what to pay GBP 40 extra? Which route, which reservation, who wants you to rip-off? :'(
The schedule planer of DBahn is good but not made for Interrailers.
With the other company you mention, we do not work together.
Please let me know the order-ID of your official Interrail pass purchase via our partner link (it is the one beginning with AA) [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Then I can set your profile to PLUS for more detailed answers.
Thank you. :)
If you bought your Interrail pass somewhere else, please ask there for support - as railcc is not the support of other companies - and it is not a fair behaviour to buy somewhere else but to ask here for free help.

The pass I bought 2 years ago was xxxxx and I haven't yet bought one for this year as I was unsure whether or not it was worth it as I can't find the prices for single tickets between a lot of the destinations I wish to travel.
The £40+ was for each trip without the IR pass, so it seems like the IR pass is worth getting if the reservations are cheap.
Thanks for the links so far, they're very helpful :)

Hi.
For point to point tickets use the websites of the national railway companies of the countries of departure. Or buy them directly at the stations in these countries.
Do NOT use agencies like the company you mentioned above - definitely too expensive!!!!!
Just as example:
Budapest - Belgrade: EUR 15 via [ux]https://rail.shop/mav[/ux]
And so on ... :)
But you have to do the calculation for yourself...

And concerning Interrail reservations: just following the links given above and you will see in the schedules: most trains are free to use with Interrail. Except the night trains of course, but then you save the hostel - and you also have to pay them with point to point tickets.
