Hello guys!
I'm having some trouble here. I'm trying to book a ticket from Amsterdam to Berlin online using the Deustche Bahn website. Unfortunately, when I try to book only the reservation seat I get an error message :
It is not possible to make a reservation for international connections at www.bahn.de without the purchase of a ticket. Please remove the check mark from the field Reservation for seat only, if you would like to buy a ticket for this connection.
Does anyone know if there is a workaround or do I have to get to a train station to book the damn train ?
By the way, I'm trying to book the 19:01 train from Amsterdam (Berlin 4:26). I've tried the links in here to buy through Railduude. No luck...

I did! But I still don't get any luck... :/ I have followed the instructions but it did not work in the same way.
2. When filling in the journey, there is an option Reservation with a box to check Reservation for seat only (no ticket).
Unfortunately, if it's checked, that's when I get my error message.
If I leave it blank, I can never get to the page where I can select Pass offer nor can I see the button at the bottom beside the red one called: Book only extra charge.
Am I still doing something wrong ?

Hi.
Which date you want to travel ?
It is only possible for the direct night train without changes. There are construction works this summer on this route so maybe there is no trough night train to Berlin on this date.

Hi,
I've made some screenshots for you :) But it's in german (sorry for the large images :D )

If entered all information and just check for tickets. After that I have to click on the button Verfügbarkeit prüfen to check if there are any free seats. So I have to enter my age and will have to click the button again.
[img:15ox3xdx]http://imageshack.us/a/img22/2977/mdan.png[/img:15ox3xdx]
Next there is a new page: I have to click on Nur Aufpreis buchen
[img:15ox3xdx]http://imageshack.us/a/img703/4215/h9bd.png[/img:15ox3xdx]
Now: Select Passangebot (Interrail... and klick Weiter :)
Next up you'll see something like this:

You can now make the reservation and go on with payment :)

I was planning for a ticket for August 6th at 19:01.
Thanks a lot for your help, NatureOne! I'll try that again for another train. I'll try to keep you posted.
Anyway, I eventually got the tickets from the train station for 11,5€ like you showed but actually there was something tricky going on. At the desk, the woman said they had that 19:01 which we took but when she printed the tickets it said 17:41 or something along the lines... Don't know what went wrong. She said there may be some changes and told us to abide by the 5pm time schedule.
Maybe it's as you said, there are construction works.

Yes there are construction works. The train starts earlier.
An employee of DB told me that construction works don't have an effect on the 7 pm-rule in CNL trains driven by DB. So you'll only need one day for that journey. But that information was just an oral agreement, so maybe you have to check that before you enter the train in Amsterdam. If you use tickets that allow you continous traveling, that might not have any effect :)

An employee at my local train station told me that we should write the date of arrival of the train on the Interrail pass not the time of departure. She said it's a common mistake... We'll see! :)

For sure you should! :)
But normally you have to use two days of travelling if you enter a train before 7 pm (and leave before 4 am :) ) But the train regularly takes departure at 19:01. So the construction works want have any effect on the 7pm rule regarding DB trains :)
